Update on “Punch” the monkey: If you somehow missed it, a baby monkey at a zoo in Japan went viral last month because he didn’t have any friends . . . just a stuffed animal he dragged around. Now he’s got at least one REAL friend. It looks like one of the other monkeys in his pen has fully accepted him. There’s a video making the rounds of Punch hopping on the monkey’s back and getting a piggy-back ride. (Here’s the clip.)…………….NY woman Diane Bennett recently finished up chemo treatments for stage 3 breast cancer, and she wanted to thank her doctors and nurses by bringing them a couple of cakes. She ordered them through the bakery at her local Walmart, and they looked great. But she was confused when she found out they’d already been paid for. It turned out a woman who works at the bakery saw what the cakes were for, and SHE paid for them. She didn’t want to be identified, but Diane got to go back and give her a very big hug…………….And finally…………….
An 80-year-old man who’s been fighting cancer got a nice surprise from his community in Colorado last month. Max Archuleta is a huge fan of classic cars, but doesn’t have the energy to go to car shows anymore, so they brought the show to him. His granddaughter posted on social media and asked people to drive their vintage cars past his house. It turned into a huge parade. His family said they were blown away by the community response and grateful for a memory they will cherish.
