A Washington state woman used “Find My iPhone” to save her husband from an avalanche. It happened last Thursday while he was skiing at a resort 50 miles east of Seattle. Michael Harris’s wife Penny says she had a bad feeling something wasn’t right. He didn’t pick up when she called, so she used “Find My iPhone” to see where he was. His phone wasn’t moving, so she rushed to the resort . . . showed them exactly where he was and they dug him out. He was stuck for four hours. He had hypothermia and a broken leg. But he’s alive………………Ottawa firefighters rescued a person and a dog that fell through the ice on a frozen river Sunday. The dog fell in, then someone tried to rescue it and fell in too. Ottawa Fire Services released a statement saying to “never venture onto the ice to attempt a rescue”, just call 911 immediately……………..And finally……………..
This happened in December, but a GA TV station just did a story on it. A mom shared a video after a TGI Friday’s waitress at the Atlanta airport stepped up to help her out. Her kid was having a meltdown, and it was already a stressful day, so their waitress, Brittany Bell, scooped him up and carried him around with her while she checked on other tables. By the time she was done, he was happy and laughing. It was a simple act of kindness that ended up earning her a VERY big tip. People online donated over $12,000 for her on GoFundMe. (Here’s the video.)
