A 10-year-old boy in the Bahamas put a message in a bottle and threw it into the ocean as a fun experiment, and nearly a year later it was found over 4000 miles away in Portugal. They now hope to meet in person someday to send another bottle out to sea together………….Parents at a Texas elementary school found out that their beloved crossing guard had been taking buses and ride-shares to work after her car broke down. So, members of the school’s Dad’s Club quickly raised several thousand dollars and bought her a Jeep. They even covered insurance and maintenance……………..And finally……………..
14-year-old Jude Baker was diagnosed with a rare cancer a few years ago, and when he was asked what he wanted for his Make-A-Wish gift, he just wanted to help others. A coordinator from Make-A-Wish said: “His only wish was to give back to his community. That’s not a wish we even tell kids is an option. Usually we tell kids you can wish to go somewhere . . . or to meet someone. Jude came up with this on his own. He never had a backup wish.” So, Make-A-Wish collected and handed out sleeping bags, backpacks full of supplies, and hot food for homeless people in the area. Thankfully, Jude is in remission today and doing better, and when a local company saw his generosity, they started a GoFundMe for his family. It has now raised over $40,000 so “Jude and his family can have a joyful adventure they deserve after such a difficult journey.”
