MacKenzie Scott, ex of Jeff Bezos, just donated $70 million to Meals on Wheels. The money will help expand meal delivery and social support for older adults in the U.S. who need it most. To date, MacKenzie has given away about $26 billion to charities nationwide…………….. A donkey in Arizona recently wandered into a canal and got trapped in the water. Firefighters were able to use ropes and vehicles to pull the donkey to safety, led by a father-daughter firefighter team, who made sure the donkey was safe. It’s now being cared for by a local livestock expert…………..And finally……………….
The Boston Marathon went down on Monday, with more than 30,000 people participating. One runner, Ajay Haridasse, was about a half-mile from the finish when his legs gave out. He tried to get up several times, but kept falling until a stranger, Aaron Beggs, stopped to help him to his feet. Another runner, Robson Oliveira, stopped too, and they both put Ajay’s arms over their shoulders, and together, all three crossed the finish line. Ajay said, “Aaron reaches his arm out, Robson is supporting me on the other side. Two strangers help me up when they had no reason to do that. I’m just truly grateful for all of it.”
