A homeless man, Arnett Johnson, became an unexpected hero after rescuing a missing 6-year-old boy he found wandering alone in Miami at night. The man noticed something was wrong, so he stayed with the child, and called police. The boy had been missing for more than 12 hours before he was reunited with his mother. Arnett downplayed the praise he got by saying, “Anybody would have done the same thing I did.”……………Virginia high school student Mia Heller has invented a water filter that removes 96% of microplastics using a clever magnetic trick. The device binds microplastics together so they can be pulled out of drinking water. Mia says that her prototype won’t cost much . . . it’s easy to maintain . . . and roughly the size of a bag of flour. She’s hoping to take the product to market………….. And finally…………
A charity in England is pairing elderly people with supercar owners to give them joyrides. It’s called “Granborghini” . . . and its mission is to combat loneliness. Organizer Mark Cody had always promised ‘gran’ he’d take her for a ride in a Lamborghini one day, but never got the opportunity. The project gives seniors a thrilling experience and a reminder they’re not forgotten. Many riders say they step out of the cars feeling decades younger. (Here’s video.)
