Ohio man Yanni Sarris was cutting down trees in his parents’ backyard when he saw an SUV plunge into a pond. Yanni heard screaming, and sprang into action. He ran to the pond, jumped in, freed an eight-year-old girl, and got her to safety, then went back for her mom, who’d been unconscious. (Here’s a video on the rescue.) The mother said that they were driving when she started feeling sick and FAINTED behind the wheel. She’s okay now, and is working with her doctors to figure out what caused her to faint while driving…………..There was an orchestral performance of “La La Land” in Australia last weekend, but during a break . . . the keyboardist was too sick to continue. So the conductor asked the audience, “Is anyone an AMAZING sight-reader?” 21-year-old student Sterling Nasa raised his hand. He was brought down, given the music, and played out the rest of the show with the orchestra. He said after that the experience gave him the confidence to pursue music professionally. (Here’s video. A Louisville, KY area restaurant has topped $100,000 in donations to local and national organizations. Noah’s Kitchen donates 100% of its profits to support community initiatives, nonprofits, and ministries. Founder Adam Ursprung said “When I stopped clinging to my money and I started giving it away, my heart grew exponentially.” As a 501c-3 charitable restaurant, they pay their rent, their employees and expenses, and then any profit goes to the organizations they support. Noah’s Kitchen will celebrate its one-year anniversary on June 18, and Adam says it’s bringing him more happiness and peace than he ever dreamed of.
