A rare printing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence was discovered at the National Archives in the U.K. . . . making it one of only 11 known surviving copies and the only one known to exist outside the United States. The document was found by a volunteer who was cataloging old naval records and traced its journey back to an American privateer ship captured by the British Royal Navy during the Revolutionary War………………………….A dog named Buddy was rescued alive after spending eight days trapped beneath the rubble of his collapsed home in Venezuela. Rescuers heard soft barking . . . and then carefully dug through the debris to find him. Somehow, Buddy survived with only minor injuries. A 7-year-old Texas boy is being celebrated as a hero after saving his 1-year-old brother from drowning in their family’s swimming pool. Patrick found his young brother Liam unresponsive in the water . . . then immediately pulled him out, told his mother, and ran to a neighbor’s house for more help. The younger boy is expected to make a full recovery, and his older brother Patrick has been nominated for a Sheriff’s Commendation Award for his bravery. “In moments of crisis, even adults can freeze under pressure,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “Patrick did the opposite.”
