The FDA approved the first drug in the U.S. designed to treat narcolepsy rather than just its symptoms. In a clinical trial, people who took the pill were able to stay awake longer during the day and sleep better at night. So, for all the narcoleptics out there, hopefully some more sleep is in your future………………. Reese, a dog from Nova Scotia, is back home safe after surviving a fall off a cliff. Rescue crews were called after Reese went over the edge and fell almost 70 feet and landed in bushes above a steep slope. Firefighters used a drone to locate the dog, then members of the Kings County Rope Rescue Team lowered two rescuers down the cliff to get him. It was about five hours from start to finish until Reese was safely raised back to the top. Luckily, he’s doing much better now…………..And finally…………….
Retired Chinese man Liu Peijin has spent more than a decade traveling the country with his wife after she became partially paralyzed. They decided back in 2014 that they would rather travel together than spend the rest of their life in a hospital. The husband is his wife’s full-time caregiver on the road and even upgraded to a camper van to make things more comfortable. So far, the couple has visited 31 out of 33 different regions in China.
