Tommy Price, a runner in the U.K., nearly died after suffering cardiac arrest triggered by hypothermia while running a punishing trail, up and down 42 separate hills and small mountains known as “fells” in Britain’s Lake District National Park. This was back in 2022. He spent the last four years recovering, rehabbing, and preparing for his comeback, and earlier this month, he completed the challenge………………A pair of metal detecting hobbyists found a 1988 class ring at a New York lake that was apparently lost during a day on the water 28 years ago. They posted photos on Facebook, but couldn’t find the owner, so they contacted the high school it was from, and figured out it belonged to a woman named Kim Rasbeck. A Border Collie named Tsunami has been honored with a bronze statue in Venezuela after heroically helping rescue at least 26 people following the earthquakes earlier this year. Tsunami’s story is even more amazing because he was once a stray puppy found wandering the streets of Caracas before being trained at a disaster canine center. Now he can retire, knowing that he helped save dozens of lives. (Here’s a news report.)
