A 78-year-old Scottish grandmother named Cath Bowie has been named the world’s oldest female “Fortnite” streamer by Guinness World Records. She began playing it in 2017 and now has an audience of more than 24,000 followers. She plays every day. (You can find an interview with Cath, here.)……………Longleaf pine forests are making a comeback across the Southeast thanks to a major restoration effort led by the National Forest Foundation. They used to cover a vast area from Virginia to Texas, but now these forests occupy less than 5% of their original territory. Over the past few years, they’ve planted about 12 million longleaf pine trees to try and recover with a goal to get to 50 million. The trees provide habitat for nearly 200 bird species and dozens of federally protected animals, including woodpeckers, eastern indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises……………And finally…………….
A fox cub that was left for dead after being hit by a car is making a miracle recovery thanks to hydrotherapy SWIMMING SESSIONS at Mansfield Canine Center in England. The little fox’s name is Chance, and initially there was a chance he’d have to be put down, but wildlife rescuers took him into their care and started a painstaking rehabilitation program that now includes assisted swims in a pool normally used by recovering dogs. The therapy is helping him regain use of his back legs.
