62-year-old Robert Pfleghardt was at a “boys’ night out” in Las Vegas in 2021, when his friend inadvertently saved his life . . . by TWISTING HIS NIPPLES. Robert said the pain didn’t go away. He tried to ignore it, but he kept rubbing his chest where it hurt, and that’s when he felt a lump that turned out to be breast cancer. He had a ton of procedures including a lumpectomy and radiation, and it sounds like they’ve nixed it . . . although he still has to go in for periodic scans. Now Robert is raising awareness for the dangers of breast cancer in men . . . he says, “Me and my buddy joke about it now, you know, how we found it. But he saved my life.” October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it can affect men and women…………. A newly identified frog-like creature that lived before the dinosaurs was discovered by a couple of student scientists Allison Sefcovic and Payton Kohlberg. . . . and they named it after their moms. Both mothers happen to be called Jean, so the early amphibian will be called “Jeanerpeton mazonensis.”……………And finally…………….
A teenage McDonald’s employee in Idaho named Michael recently paid for a stranger’s dinner after the customer realized he’d left his wallet behind. The next day, the customer contacted the local news to share the story, and the station tracked Michael down. They surprised him at work as part of their weekly Feel Good Friday segment and set him up with a bunch of restaurant gift cards as a thank-you for his act of kindness. (Here’s a news report.)
