Alastair Cass stormed out of his house in England last month because he was “frustrated” that his favorite soccer team, Arsenal, just lost. But that was fortunate, because he became a hero for a woman. Outside, he heard a woman crying for help from the valley behind his house. He followed her screams, and saw her. She was STUCK IN THE MUD, up to her chest, and hadn’t been able to move for four hours. He tried to pull her out, but eventually had to call for help. She later sent him a “thank you,” saying, “Thanks to Arsenal for being rubbish at football!”………………..And finally…………..
Three years ago, a group of FL firefighters rushed to an accident involving a critically injured three-year-old girl named Lila, who had been run over by a truck. She survived. And today, those firefighters are STILL showing up for her birthdays . . . celebrating her milestones . . . and watching the little girl they helped save grow up. They say they’ve become family, and they even have a nickname for her: “Baby girl.” (Here’s a local news story on them.)
