52 dogs were rescued from a Texas ranch thanks to the SPCA in Philadelphia. A team from the SPCA traveled to Rockdale, Texas to help secure the voluntary surrender of all the dogs and transport them to temporary shelters. To help make room for the incoming animals, the SPCA is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs six months and older at all of its Philadelphia locations…… A father just surprised his children by walking on his own for the first time in three years after recovering from a traumatic brain injury, and their reaction was caught on video. They were at home watching TV and were stunned when they saw their dad walking by. One of them shouted, “Daddy, you’re walking!” The kids were so excited to see their dad walk, that it reminded people of the same kind of support parents give when teaching their kids how to walk…………..And finally……………
18-year-old AZ man Jordan Hope saw an elderly stranger struggling to cross the road in worn out shoes, so he stopped and gave the man the shoes off his own feet. He then went with him into a pharmacy, helped him pick up medication, ordered him a rideshare, and even followed him home to make sure he got there safely. That’s when Jordan learned the 80-year-old man had lost his wife two weeks earlier. The elderly man said it was nice to have found a new friend, and the two plan on staying in touch. A passerby caught the moment on video and shared it saying “If this is your son/family, I witnessed this act of kindness yesterday morning”. (Here’s a news report.)
