Jimmy Page and Gibson have collaborated together on the release of his 1964 SJ-200 and 1964 SJ-200 Collector’s Edition signature model acoustic guitars. The instruments are replicas of the acoustic guitar that Page played on Led Zeppelin’s groundbreaking 1969 self-titled debut album. The new signature model guitars were hand-crafted by the luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, and were made according to “Page’s exacting standards and recollection.” Both guitars come in a hardshell case bearing Zeppelin’s iconic “Zoso” logo, and include a vintage-style strap and an extra Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold-plated brass saddles. The Collector’s Edition also includes a pickholder complete with a pick used by Jimmy Page along with a handcrafted Gibson wooden guitar stand. The SJ-200 signature model sells for $12,999, while the Collector’s Edition costs $19,999, and both are available through Gibson’s website. (Consequence of Sound)
