WSFL in the Wild – posted by Cindy Miller: Here in North Carolina, we have plenty of forests and farmland where wildlife can be found. It’s important to know that, whether you’re a hunter, or just a nature lover, you should always be aware of the animals around you, and what to do if you encounter something that just doesn’t seem right. Recently, we had a doe on our property that seemed ill, so we did a little research, and made a call to Chris Kent, Coastal Regional Wildlife Biologist for District 2 in NC. After hearing what we had to say, Chris had a pretty good idea of what we might be dealing with. Our little doe didn’t make it, so Chris came out and took her in for some testing. What he found was fascinating, and I wanted to share it, so I gave him a call.
