WEIRD AL YANKOVIC recently finished his Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour after 77 shows.  In addition to ignoring most of his famous parodies and playing ORIGINAL songs, he and his band ended every show with a cover.   The did a DIFFERENT cover every night. And he just posted a 26-minute video with clips of every single one of those 77 covers.   It’s a pretty awesome list, and it’s got great range . . . from “God Save the Queen” by the Sex Pistols to “Close to You” by the Carpenters. It also includes “Smoke on the Water”“Play that Funky Music”“Free Bird”“I Wanna Be Sedated”“Are You Gonna Be My Girl”“It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)”“This Is a Call” . . .And “Summer Nights” from “Grease”, which he did as a, quote, “Duet with reluctant audience member.”
