 Coming July 26 – a treat from the SOUNDGARDEN vaults. A show the band performed in L.A. in 2013 was filmed for a series called Live From the Artists Den and it will be made available on that date. The remaining band members are also planning some special events in a handful of US cities to coincide with the release. Here’s a little taste of the film.

ROBERT PLANT says some of his LED ZEPPELIN lyrics about “The Lord of the Rings” feel like they “missed the mark” now . . . especially since a lot of his peers at the time were writing “substantial pieces of social commentary.” 

This is getting really ugly. The legal battle between TOM PETTY’s widow, Dana York Petty, and his daughters Adria Petty and Annakim Violette, continues. Now Petty’s widow is being sued for allegedly mishandling his estate.

Now that MICK JAGGER is back on his feet, THE ROLLING STONES have rescheduled their No Filter tour dates, including the one closest to us – Washington, D.C. on July 3.

Organizers of Woodstock 50 will need to quickly find proper financial backing, secure a guaranteed lineup of artists and acquire the permits required to host the 75,000-person event if it is to come together in time for its originally planned Aug. 16-18 dates.  

In a recent interview, GUNS N’ ROSES revealed that were ready for guitarist IZZY STRADLIN to join the reunion, but it never came together. 

A BBC documentary that includes a segment on THE POLICE is in the works for release next year. It’s called What Is Music and Why?, and STING and STEWART COPELAND got together to film their part. Meanwhile, the band documentary that COPELAND did in 2006 is finally going to be released on Blu-ray and digitally on May 31. Check out a trailer for Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out.
