THE ROLLING STONES have agreed to relinquish their rights to “Bittersweet Symphony” by THE VERVE.  The song samples a cover of one of their tracks . . . and The Verve had cleared the cover, but not the original.  So, the Stones took the songwriting credit 22 years ago.   

Wondering how much of an impact “Bohemian Rhapsody” had on QUEEN’s music sales? According to Billboard’s estimates, the band earned “nearly $18 million in revenue versus the $4.4 million that Queen’s catalog had earned in the preceding six months.” 

ROBERT PLANT is the king of re-imaging himself and trying new things. He’ll be launching a new podcast on June 3. It’s called “Digging Deep: The Robert Plant Podcast”, and will be available everywhere. Here’s the scoop:

OZZY OSBOURNE is the latest celeb to jump on the CBD oil train. He’s been using it to manage his pain after his most recent injury. Meanwhile, OZZY hopes there’ll be at least one more BLACK SABBATH show with original drummer BILL WARD. He also says it wasn’t his fault that Bill didn’t do the farewell tour.   

IAN HILL, bassist for JUDAS PRIEST, spoke about the band’s 50th anniversary in a recent interview.HILL says the band will do an anniversary tour in 2020, 50 years after taking the name JUDAS PRIEST.
