 Coming September 13, a newly remastered version of the STONE TEMPLE PILOTS “Purple” album. It will include previously unreleased studio and live tracks, and is titled “Purple: Super Deluxe Edition”.

Woodstock 50 is on life support, and yesterday it may have suffered the death blow.  Watkins Glen backed out as the venue, and the event’s producers also left.  The organizers still insist that Woodstock 50 will find a new venue, and go on as planned in August . . . but that seems incredibly optimistic.with just TWO MONTHS to go before it’s supposed to happen…… if you’ve seen any of those Fyre Festival documentaries, you know what happens when you stubbornly try to force a music festival into existence at the last minute. 

The HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES recorded a cover of DAVID BOWIE‘s “Heroes”, with JOHNNY DEPP on vocals.

GEOFF TATE, former QUEENSRŸCHE singer, will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the “Empire” album when he hits the road in 2020.

MICK JAGGER says he’s feeling “pretty good” post-surgery, as he gets ready for the upcoming ROLLING STONES tour.   

METALLICA might be releasing another covers album….at least that’s what’s being inferred from a recent interview with Kerrang! A fan asked Lars if Metallica were going to make Garage Inc. 2, which songs would they cover? To which the drummer replied “Wait and see…” Read the entire interview here.

Rumor has it IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST will tour together next year . . . along with TestamentObituary, and The Raven Age. 

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow is the name of a 38 minute YES documentary that was released as the band sets out on their tour. The Royal Affair tour makes a stop at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on July 10.
