The rock world was in shock this past Friday after hearing of the death of EDDIE MONEY, and then, over the weekend, RIC OCASEK of THE CARS, passed away. cause of death was heart disease.  He also had emphysema. Ric’s family says he was home recuperating from an unspecified surgery when he unexpectedly, but peacefully, died in his sleep. MONEY‘s death has been attributed to complications from a recent heart valve replacement surgery, while OCASEK‘s cause of death was heart disease, and it was made public that he also had emphysema. His family says he was home recuperating from an unspecified surgery when he unexpectedly, but peacefully, died in his sleep. 

OZZY OSBOURNE is finished with his new album. He used the same producer who recorded the song he did with rapper POST MALONE“Take What You Want”. By the way, that song brought OZZY back to the top 10 for the first time in 30 years. 

BILLY IDOL has announced 2020 dates for his Las Vegas residency at the Palms Casino Resort. You can catch “Billy Idol: Las Vegas” this year in October, and next year in March. 

KISS had to postpone a show in Salt Lake City on Saturday because GENE SIMMONS needed an undisclosed medical procedure. 

Coming November 1, VAN HALEN will release a box set of 13 singles released in Japan in 1978 and 1984. 

JOHN FOGERTY will release 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks on November 8. Then, on November 11, the concert film will be screened in theaters. 

TOMMY LEE has apparently wrapped up work on a new project. He recently tweeted “Hey kids! Finally …my new record is done and getting mastered now ….. lookin like a March release! Y’all gonna LOVE this! Been working on this for 2 years!  2 sides 2 genres I’ll explain more later”.

RINGO STARR and PAUL MCCARTNEY are teaming up to record a song by JOHN LENNON.  It’s called “Grow Old with Me”, and it was on John’s posthumous 1984 album “Milk and Honey”. On the new version, Ringo sings and plays drums, while Paul handles the bass and backing vocals.  JOE WALSH from the EAGLES will play guitar. He’s Ringo’s brother-in-law. Ringo’s new album is called “What’s My Name”, and it’s dropping on October 25.
