Coming November 22, JIMI HENDRIX AND THE BAND OF GYPSIES five-CD/eight-LP box set,  Songs for Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts.

SAMMY HAGAR released an experimental short movie called Space Between: The Film, which is the title of the latest album from SAMMY HAGAR AND THE CIRCLE.

Last month, KISS put their farewell tour on hold so GENE SIMMONS could undergo an undisclosed medical procedure. Turns out that he had kidney stones, and had a successful surgery at Cedars-Sinai Hospital to have a stent inserted in his urethra. That’ll make it easier for him to pee the stones out. The band is staying busy – KISS will play a show next month in shark-infested waters off the coast of Australia. Eight fans will be lowered under the water in a viewing submarine to listen to the concert, and possibly come face-to-face with some great whites who are reportedly drawn to low frequencies. Proceeds will benefit the Australian Marine Conservation Society Get the details here.

METALLICA’s S&M2 hits the big screen on October 9, showing in more than 3,000 theaters around the world. The closest showing in our area will be in Wilmington. Here’s a teaser trailer.
