There are many storied beautiful recreational areas in Eastern North Carolina, one of which is home to a well-known Amateur Disc Golf team, the Craven Chains. Brian “Gillly G” Gillmette is also a brand Ambassador for Innova Disk Golf.  

Disc Golf is free and open to the public dawn till dusk at Glenburnie Park (you can also play at Lawson Creek Park and Creekside Park) but the Craven Chains prefer Glenburnie on most days. Disc golf at Glenburnie Park is organized just like regular golf, and many of the hole/par markers are in loving memory of those who have passed.

So head out to one of the many parks featuring Disc Golf in the ENC this summer, just one of the live sports still out there for you to learn, participate in and, most importantly, enjoy safely.
