Off shore fishing is about to be at it’s peak with mahi, tuna, wahoo, kings, sail fish and marlin showing up.  Try to ignore the high gas prices and go fishing anyway. (Skip 15 meals and you are good to go.)

Inshore fishing – flounder fishing is back on cut bait, finger mullet, and mud minnows.  Trout are hitting on mirror lures, grubs, and live shrimp.  The Spanish and bluefish are hitting on gotcha plugs and trolling spoons.  Red Drum hit everything in your tackle box including bass lures.  The spots, croakers, hog fish, sea mullet and black sea bass are good on frozen baits.

Fresh water fishing – everything is hitting.  For bass, the top water bite is good early and late in the day.  Whopper ploppers, Zara spooks, buzz baits and frogs are killing it. The bream are hitting on worms and crickets all day long.  That’s it I’m going fishing……the boss will understand.  

Take a kid fishing and pick up your trash, please.
