DEF LEPPARD rocked Wednesday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Their new album, “Diamond Star Halos”, is out today, May 27.

In a new interview with guitarist BILLY DUFFY of THE CULT, he says the next album will be non-bluesy and epic.

The AC/DC logo was based on the letters in the first book ever printed . . . the Gutenberg Bible.  And the guy who created it was paid a one-time fee . . . never got any royalties . . . and also did the logos for Pepsi and “Time” magazine.

Two big deaths to report from the music world:  Depeche Mode founding member Andy Fletcher, and YES drummer ALAN WHITE has also died, after what the band called a “short illness”.  He was 72.  They said Alan was looking forward to the upcoming tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of their “Close to the Edge” album.

WHITESNAKE’s DAVID COVERDALE says that he originally wrote the song “Is This Love” for TINA TURNER.  But when the band’s label heard it, they refused to let it go.  And it became one of their biggest hits.
