Rice University researchers found a way to use dead spiders as the raw material for robotic grippers.  They’re excited about it . . . but turning dead spiders into robots sounds like an idea that BETTER NOT BACKFIRE……………….. Firefighters in east Tennessee saved a kitten that somehow got stuck inside a Pepsi vending machine outside Walmart.  An employee named Lindsey Russell was on her lunch break when she heard it yelping.  So she called for help, and ended up taking the kitten home after they rescued it………….And finally…………….. 

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center will help wounded service members “transfer” a previous tattoo they had onto their prosthetic or artificial limb. This is especially cool for those who have lost sentimental ink. While the first step is saving a service member’s life, according to the chief of rehabilitation, “the next step is restoring lives, and providing some meaning to those lives.” The program to recreate service members’ tattoos is an attempt to “do whatever we can to make our nation’s heroes ‘whole’ after the sacrifices they made.”.
