Motley Crue and Def Leppard announced their first 2023 U.S. shows – February 10 and 11 in Atlantic City.

Neal Schon apparently wants former keyboardist Gregg Rolie back in the band for Journey‘s 2023 tour.

Bret Michaels will continue his Parti Gras tour in 2023 with specials guests Night Ranger and Jefferson Starship.

Axl Rose was upset after drone pirates crashed Guns N’ Roses’ show in Australia on Thanksgiving.  He said it was very intrusive and distracting, and he wants drone operators to play with their toys somewhere else.

Metallica recently started letting their music be used in movies and TV shows, like “Stranger Things”Lars Ulrich said they started saying yes to everything because they want to share their music with the world. Meanwhile, Metallica has confirmed the title and release date of its forthcoming 12th studio album: 72 Seasons will be available April 14, 2023 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with Hetfield & Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track 72 Seasons is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. There’s a new viral trend where someone wears a helmet and plays AC/DC’s “Back in Black” on guitar, while someone else smashes them in the head with a frying pan to the beat. Just to be clear, the person taking the beating IS generally wearing some type of protective head gear.  Still, it feels like this is where I should drop a quick “Do not try this at home.” Check out some videos of this insanity here.

Ace Frehley is wrapping up work on a new album.

The 6th Annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala will feature TWISTED SISTER being inducted into the 2023 Metal Hall of Fame. The event will take place January 26, 2023, at the Canyon Club, Agoura Hills, CA.

U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr. says he needs surgery in order to keep playing . . . but he didn’t say what kind.

Jethro Tull have completed work on the recording of their 23rd studio album, following swift on the heels of their critically-acclaimed return earlier this year with ‘The Zealot Gene’, their first album in two decades.
Ian Anderson says: “We have been putting the finishing touches to the artwork for the album cover and wrapped up the recording and mixing a few weeks ago. Due to the usual long wait for vinyl pressing and manufacturing, we are scheduled for an Spring 2023 release but, during the weeks and months to come, you will be hearing more about the record and the various formats which will be available. “
