After the announcement of the passing of legendary guitarist Jeff Beck on January 10, many rockers have posted tributes and spoken of his influence. Queen’s Brian May posted a very emotional video with his thoughts on one of his heroes.

After trying for 50 years, John Fogerty was finally able to buy the publishing rights to Creedence Clearwater Revival’s catalog. 

Vince Neil has COVID, and has had to postpone some solo dates.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive drummer Robbie Bachman died.  He was 69. 

Did you know there’s a guitar solo on Pink Floyd’s 1977 album “Animals” that was ONLY available on the 8-Track version?  It was between Part 1 and Part 2 of “Pigs on the Wing”.  8-Tracks played differently from records and cassette tapes . . . and obviously, CDs didn’t exist in the 1970s. So in order to make the album flow better, they combined the two parts, and linked them with a solo, which basically made them a single track.  But only on 8-Track. When it went out of print, it stayed lost . . . until the Internet came along.

U2 will “reinterpret” 40 of their songs on their next album, “Songs of Surrender”.

In spite of all fighting and lawsuits going on between Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon, Cain says that he will be out on tour with Journey when they hit the road next month.

The other members of Fleetwood Mac showed up to a memorial for Christine McVie.

The surviving members of Twisted Sister will reunite for a performance at their induction into the Metal Hall of Fame.  Drummer A.J. Pero died in 2015, so Mike Portnoy will play the drums for the performance.

In an interview that will air this weekend on “CBS Sunday Morning”, Pamela Anderson says her sex tape with Tommy Lee wasn’t meant for public consumption. Quote, “It was two crazy naked people in love.  We were naked all the time and filming each other and being silly, but those tapes were not meant for anybody else to see.” She added, quote, “I’ve not seen it to this day.  It was very hurtful.”
