A TX woman threw a quinceañera for her cat and ended up saving her local animal shelter.  Miranda Gonzalez spent a year planning her cat Holly’s 15th birthday, complete with a quinceañera dress and a mariachi band.  A video of it has been all over TikTok, and she asked people to donate to a shelter called Almost Home Cat Haven, who were looking at closing down, but thanks to all the donations, they’re suddenly in great shape financially…………. Five fishermen arrived in the Galapagos Islands recently after 55 days lost at sea.  Their engine died, and they’d been missing since mid-March.  All five of them are in good health……And finally…………. 

Tera, a Madagascar boy who couldn’t wear shoes until the age of 13, had a life-changing surgery aboard the floating medical charity that is Mercy Ships. The boy accidentally spilled a pot of boiling water onto his left leg when he was just a year old, suffering third degree burns that fused his leg to his ankle. After his mom spoke to the charity about free surgery, she strapped Tera’s baby brother on her back and made a two-day journey with her kids to the ship. Tera had the surgery last summer and is now wearing sneakers for the first time in his life and playing soccer with his friends.
