A high school grad in New York is trending after she handed out gifts to everyone in her class.  17-year-old Sofia Nielsen is a budding artist, and did a portrait for every single one of her classmates, all 110 of them……………. “People” magazine did a story Chicago kid Taevion Norris, who missed his high school graduation because he’s waiting on a heart transplant.  So school officials threw him his own graduation at the hospital.  Despite his health issues, he pushed to get all his schoolwork done in time to graduate, so they decided he deserved an official ceremony………………..And finally……………… 

MI wildlife experts helped out a bear that was living with a plastic barrel lid stuck around its neck for two years. The bear first turned up on a trail camera as a cub in 2023 in the northern Lower Peninsula. After that, the Department of Natural Resources watched for it, and it popped up on a camera in late May, still wearing the barrel lid. The DNR set a cylindrical trap and safely lured him inside, then immobilized with an injection and the lid was cut off in minutes on June 3. The bear eventually woke up and rambled away. They say it’s amazing it was able to survive like that for so long, but it should be fine now.
