The annual Perseid meteor shower is underway. If you look up at the night sky over the next month or so, you’ve got a pretty good chance of seeing a shooting star. A good day to view them is Thursday, July 24 during the new moon when the sky is darker. Another good time is Wednesday, July 30, because two other meteor showers will be happening at the same time………. A group of girls in Lubbock, Texas set up a lemonade stand to raise money for Camp Mystic flood relief and brought it more than expected. They’re still accepting donations through Venmo and hit 20 GRAND the other day. Meanwhile, two sisters in Fort Worth did the same thing and raised over $5,000 in a single day……………And finally…………..
A pizza delivery guy in Michigan saved an elderly woman who fell and couldn’t get up. She didn’t answer the door, so he looked through a window and saw her on the floor, barely conscious. He called 911 and first responders got her to a hospital. Then he went back to her home and met woth a neighbor to make sure her dog was taken care of . . . picked up some of her belongings while he was there . . . and brought them to her at the hospital.
