Nike co-founder Phil Knight just donated $2 billion to the cancer institute at Oregon Health and Science University.  His foundation says it’s the largest single donation ever made to a college, university, or health group in the U.S…………….An 82-year-old guy in Australia is going viral after he stopped to save a koala on the road, then gave it a talking to after it scratched at him.  He did an interview about it later, and he’s a character.  He’s been going back to visit the koala and nicknamed it Ted…………….And finally…………….. 

16-year-old MI kid Sam Heintz played a ton of baseball this summer, and it’s only possible because of something his mom did for him years ago.  He has a rare kidney disease and had a transplant when he was eight.  They usually put your new kidney on the right side of your body, but he’s left-handed, and his mom knew it might mean he’d never play baseball again, because if the kidney was on his right side, he could get hit by a pitch there and be in real trouble again.  So she asked his doctors if they could put it on his left side instead, and they agreed.  Eight years later, he’s thriving and still playing ball.
