A guy at a skate park in Reading, Pennsylvania rescued a skunk, and a woman walking by with her dog got it on video. The skunk was stuck in the bottom of a skating bowl, which is basically an empty pool. His skateboard had a leash you tie to your wrist. He lowered the leash down so it could grab on, then pulled it back up and the skunk ran off. (Here’s the video.)………… Sarah van De Laar, a postal worker near Philly, recently saved a random guy’s life. She was in the middle of her route when she saw a car veer off the road. It turned out the driver was having a medical emergency. She did chest compressions until paramedics got there, then handed him off and continued on her route. She didn’t find out he survived until a month later. She said it was “like a gift” getting to meet up with him in person again………And finally………..
Sarah Ezekiel, a British woman with Motor Neurone Disease, lost the ability to speak at age 34, but just got the sound of her voice back 25 years later, thanks to A.I.. She’d been using a computer-generated voice that was really robotic, but a company called Smartbox was able to pull audio from an old VHS tape and clone her voice. The old audio was poor quality and just eight seconds long, but thanks to the newest tech, it was enough. (Here’s a video.)
