Good News

Denver animal control officers saved a baby squirrel that fell out of a tree on a golf course . . . a MINI golf course, to be more precise.  The mom didn’t come back, so they handed it over to a wildlife center.  It happened in August, but they just shared the video.  They said the squirrel is doing well……………….Tampa transit officials shared footage of bus driver Barbara Baker saving a little boy who walked out into the street.  He wandered away from his home around 7am, and was still in his pajamas.  She called it in, and cops got him back home 20 minutes later……………..And finally………….

The sales software recently went down at a Wichita taco restaurant, and both customers and staff were stressed and frustrated.  The Shear family had just come in to eat when they found out the place was only accepting cash, and they just had cards.  They were about to leave when a stranger handed them a $100 bill and said dinner was on him.  Later, the Shear family posted a picture of the stranger on Facebook, asking if anyone knew him, and Jared, the “Taco Hero,” was found.  He told a news outlet “When I was a young man, I grew up poor.  A family took me in when I needed it the most. They ended up finishing raising me until I turned 18 and moved out on my own. If they wouldn’t have ever done that, I never would be in the place I am today, and I, frankly, wouldn’t be able to help somebody out like that. I owe everything to them.” The restaurant presented Jared with an honorary certificate as the “Wichita Taco Hero” and awarded him free tacos for the rest of the year.
