A 49-year-old grandma of three, who’s battling colon and kidney cancer, walked the New York City marathon this weekend. He name is Liz Healy, and a she was a marathoner for years before her cancer diagnoses……………… A GA paper did a story about a little NJ boy who’s oddly obsessed with former president Jimmy Carter. He was three when he saw a picture of Carter and found it extremely interesting. He wanted his fifth birthday party to be Jimmy Carter-themed, so his mom started planning and posting videos this summer. Habitat for Humanity heard about it and sent him a bunch of swag, and now he says he wants to build houses when he grows up. His mom says her son loves how much Carter helped people……………….And finally……………….
A small dog who went missing from her family’s MS home about five years ago was reunited with her owners after turning up in a FL city about 520 miles away. The dog is a chihuahua and dachshund mix named Penny, and she was found two weeks ago, dodging traffic on a city street. The person who found her had her microchip scanned, her owners were called, and they rushed down to reunite with their pet. It’s unclear how Penny made it all the way to Florida. (Here’s a local news report.)
