It’s October, the best month of the year to go fishing. Everything is biting, well, except for Cobia. Salt water. The jumbo spots are here. Get some blood worms, some shrimp or even a sabiki rig. It’s summer and it’s hot outside. The saltwater fishing is excellent. Fresh water fishing – not so much. Saltwater fishing is great right now. The fresh water fishing is getting really good. The flatheads and channel catfish are eating every thing from bluegills to chicken livers to catfish Charlie baits. Cold weather may be here, but the fishing is still hot. The bluefin tuna bite is on offshore. Inshore you can catch speckled trout, sea mullet, red drum and hogwash.
