BRUCE DICKINSON says that if IRON MAIDEN were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he would refuse.  Quote, “I’m really happy we’re not there and I would never want to be there . . . they won’t bloody be having my corpse in there.”  

During his recent parole hearing, MARK DAVID CHAPMAN said he’s still not sure he’s “100% remorseful” for killing JOHN LENNON.  But he added, quote, “I am getting there and it’s a slow thing . . . lately I’ve come to grips with the shame part of it.” He even told the parole board, quote, “Of course I want to be released.  Do I deserve to be released?  That’s another question.  No, I don’t think somebody that did what I did deserves anything.” Chapman WASN’T released.  It was the 10th time his parole was denied.  He’s up again in 2020. 

METALLICA donated $100,000 to the wildfire relief effort in California.

STEVE PERRY has filed a lawsuit to prevent the release of some demos he recorded in the early ’90s.  

Current FLEETWOOD MAC guitarist MIKE CAMPBELL has been having some fun while on the road. He’s been recording videos of himself jamming in bathroom stalls across the country. In one vid, he’s got company – bandmate NEIL FINN and EDDIE VEDDER.

The ROLLING STONES will kick off a U.S. stadium tour in April. There are no NC dates, but you can road trip to Washington DC on May 31 or Philly on June 4. 

OZZY OSBOURNE says he loves TONY IOMMI, but hates working with him.

Bluesman JOHN MAYALL will be 85 when his new album comes out on February 22. He’s joined on the project by TODD RUNDGREN, ALEX LIFESON and STEVE VAN ZANDT.

Due to recent health issues, JOE PERRY is canceling his upcoming solo tour and taking the rest of the year off.  

STYX has a handful of dates lined up next year with LARRY THE CABLE GUY.  The tour is called “Laugh.  Rock.  Seriously.”  Tommy Shaw says, quote, “We could all use a big dose of [music and comedy].”  

GLENN DANZIG may put out an album of ELVIS covers next year. 

Speaking of ELVIS, ROBERT PLANT recently sang some ELVIS songs at his ex-wife’s birthday party.  He does a pretty good impression. (NSFW)
