KROKUS will be calling it quits at the end of 2019, but before they go, there will be a new album.

GEDDY LEE continues to promote his recently released book, “Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass”, but once he wraps that up, he plans to get to work on new music. No details on what sort of project it might be, or when it will be released.

NIKKI SIXX has plans for a trilogy of albums in 2019.

DUFF MCKAGEN, bassist for GNR, plans to release a new solo album in 2019. MCKAGEN also appears on the new HEART live album, “Live in Atlantic City”, which will be out on January 25. The HEART release also features ALICE IN CHAINS and DAVE NAVARRO. Here’s a video from the release.

QUEEN’s“Bohemian Rhapsody” is the most-streamed song of the 20th Century, with 1.6 BILLION streams.  BRIAN MAY says, quote, “So the River of Rock Music has metamorphosed into streams!  Very happy that our music is still flowing to the max!”. And the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama, and actor Rami Malek was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.

In 2016, KEITH EMERSON took his own life. At that time, Keith and ROBERT BERRY, who were close friends for over 30 years, were working on a new album which was nearly derailed by Keith’s sudden death. After months of grief, Robert’s record company and Keith’s family encouraged Robert to resume work on the album. The critically acclaimed result is Robert’s new release, entitled The Rules Have Changed, a collaboration with Emerson under the band name 3.2.

DEADLINE RITUAL is the name of the new band formed by former BLACK SABBATH member GEEZER BUTLER, along with STEVE STEVENS of BILLY IDOL’S band, former GNR drummer MATT SORUM and FRANKY PEREZ, frontman for APOCALYPTICA. Check ’em out below.
