If you’ve got some extra time, the JOY Soup Kitchen in Greenville could use your help. They serve lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Tuesday through Thursday, and they are in need of volunteers ages 16 and older. They’ve had to add extra meals to their schedule due to overwhelming need in our area. Click here to visit their website.
Hope Mission Ministries in MHC says donations are down more than 60% this year, and the number of people looking for help has increased. They need donations of canned and dry foods, plastic utensils and to-go containers.
The Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity is in need of volunteers to help build its 100th home. It’s in Newport, and they’re hoping to have it finished by Thanksgiving. They could also donations of tools and cash – click here for info on how you can help, or sign up to volunteer.
