The canine hero of the day is a dog in China who came to the rescue of a toddler being attacked by a street dog. The hero pup is with its family when it sees the wild dog run up and bite the little girl.  It immediately jumps on the attacker, and chases it away.  According to the writeup, the wild dog also bit two other kids, and had to be put down. (Here’s the video.)……………….A 4-H auction in Indiana is in the news after more than 100 people, including business owners, pooled their money to help a family out. A 10-year-old named Hudson Duttlinger was selling a pig, and Hudson’s mom has been fighting colon cancer. So people ran up the bidding, and the pig sold for $102,000.  It normally would have brought in around 600 bucks………..And finally………… 

A stray cat video game is raising money to help cats in real life.  It’s a PlayStation game called “Stray“ where you’re a cat that walks around town solving puzzles . . . balancing on railings . . . and knocking stuff off shelves. People have been playing it on Twitch while others watch.  And they’re encouraged to donate money to animal rescues and cat-related charities. (Here’s the trailer for the game.)
