Today’s Good News 9-9-22

In health news:  A woman from Scotland who can smell Parkinson’s disease is working with scientists to develop a swab test that could help diagnose it. There’s not currently a chemical test for Parkinson’s disease, and thousands of people have to wait for a neurological consultation before being diagnosed, so a swab test would be “transformative”…………. A kid named Jacob Walker was born with a rare form of dwarfism, and doctors didn’t expect him to live past five.  But now he’s 12, and likes to post videos of himself dancing to encourage other people to keep going……………..And finally……………..

A 10-year-old kid in Toronto named David Hove recently set up a table and cooler to sell scones to people so he could save up for an Xbox. But then he left to go to the bathroom, and someone stole all his stuff. Security video shows a man in a white SUV driving up, stopping his vehicle, opening the trunk, and loading the whole stand into the back. All that was left behind was a paper sign advertising scones for sale. Luckily, David had taken his cashbox inside with him. The story does have a happy ending though.  After a TV station in Toronto did a story on it, he got bombarded with donations . . . including the Xbox he wanted.
