Today’s Good News 10-14-22

A couple in the U.K. both recently turned 100, and also celebrated their 75th anniversary.  They say the secret to their success is having one small FIGHT every day. They also still drink.  (Here’s a photo.)…………. A rodeo bull jumped into the stands at an event in Redding, California back in May and injured six people.  One of them was a 25-year-old named Paige King, who got trampled.  But it ended up being a GOOD thing.  Emergency room doctors did a C.T. scan to make sure she didn’t have any serious internal injuries . . . and ended up finding THYROID CANCER.  Luckily, they caught it early, and she’s undergoing treatment…………And finally…………..

A Colorado woman just became a cop, and the officer who pinned her badge on is the same cop who saved her 20 years ago. In November 2000, officer Jeff Valdivia took a six week old girl into protective custody, after finding her lying on a bed next to her 17-year-old mother with a meth pipe nearby. The child was eventually adopted by a couple who gave her a much better life. Her mother recently found the officer, and invited him to Colorado Springs to meet Deputy Natalie Young, and, in a special moment, the now Sgt. Valdiva had the honor of pinning the new badge on her uniform.
