18,000 fans sang the Star-Spangled Banner at an NHL game on Monday, and most weren’t even Americans.  The singer’s mic cut out at a Maple Leafs game in Toronto, so the crowd joined in.  (Here’s the video.  The singing starts at :35.)…………… A soldier from New Zealand volunteered to fight in Ukraine.  And he was raiding a building held by the Russians when he found a Ukrainian friend he thought had died.  He had a helmet-cam running, so you can hear the excitement in his voice when he realizes who it is.  (It happens at :31.)…………….And finally……………..

A nurse in Indiana named Katrina Mullen recently adopted a teen mom and her triplets, who were born premature. The two grew close while the teen, Shariya Small was in the hospital, and they continued their relationship after the triplets were out of the NICU, but the young mom struggled on her own, and the Indiana DCS determined that the triplets needed to be in foster care. Shariya made a panicked call to her nurse friend, and Katrina quickly agreed to not only take them all in, but also to adopt not just Small but all three of her children, so the little family wouldn’t be separated. (Here are some photos.)
