A 13-year-old kid in Michigan used his slingshot to stop a would-be kidnapper, and saved his eight-year-old sister.  The suspect is a 17-year-old who’s now in custody.  He hit him once in the head, and once in the chest…………….. A podcaster in Pittsburgh named Rob Oliver now holds the record for longest interview marathon.  He talked to 137 people in 37 hours and 44 minutes. An accident in 1993 left him paralyzed.  And two years ago, he launched a podcast called “Perspectives on Healthcare” about the healthcare system, so the record attempt was also to raise awareness for that……….And finally…….. 

An older couple in Colorado were just honored for National Foster Care Month.  After the last of their three kids left home in 1989, they decided to start fostering. Cora and Stan Krol found themselves wondering what to do next. Cora said “It’s too quiet, I wonder about foster care”. And that was when it began…..in 34 years, they’ve raised more than 130 foster kids
