A California woman ended up homeless a few years ago, but talk about turning things around!  She’s back in school, about to get her associate’s degree.  She’s also getting married later this year.  And to top it all off, she just hit the lottery for $5 MILLION.  She says she plans to buy a house, and invest the rest………Firefighters in Tennessee just saved a dog that fell 50 feet into a cave.  Shaker had spotted a racoon and was running after it, when he fell into the cave. The firefighters, all volunteers, rappelled down and used a harness to hoist Shaker back up.  Luckily, the dog wasn’t injured……And finally………….

26 high-schoolers in Michigan spent their school year building someone a new home.  The school does it every year to give real-world experience to kids who want to learn a trade.  It also ends up providing an affordable housing option for a low- to moderate-income homebuyer. It’s around 1,400 square feet, and they built the whole thing at their campus.  A flatbed truck just moved it to a lot a half-mile away.  (Here’s a photo.)
