People are calling this the smartest cow in the world:  A cow in Nebraska named Ghost just set a world record by doing 10 tricks in under a minute.  Things like stay, come, spin, bow, kiss, and answering “yes” with a head nod.  She can also fist bump.  (Here’s a video.  The tricks start at :34.)……………. Alabama has an official state cookie.  It’s called the “Yellowhammer Cookie,” and it was created by Mary Claire Cook, a fourth grade student from Montgomery.  There was a contest to determine a state cookie . . . and Mary won. It features two oatmeal cookies with peanut butter filling between.  (By the way, in NC there is bill out there to make the Moravian spice cookie our official state cookie)………And finally……… 

A couple named Wilson and Sharaine Caraballo moved into a place in Pawtucket, RI last year with their kids.  Now they’re in the news after adding one more person to their family – an 82-year-old next-door neighbor. Paul Callahan lost his wife six months before they moved in, and lives alone now.  They met him when he asked if they needed a ladder, and then offered to help fix up their garage. Now he comes by every day to see their kids, and they say he’s like their “honorary grandpa.”  They even celebrated Father’s Day with him this month.
