An 11-year-old in Iowa named Paisley Gardner kept hearing an artist on the radio and fell in love.  She said he had the voice of an angel, and thought it was a new singer.  But it was actually Michael McDonald from The Doobie Brothers. She was a little sad to find out he’s 71.  But she’s still a fan and got to go see a show recently.  CBS News just interviewed her over Zoom, and surprised her by getting Michael to pop in for it.  When he showed up, she started crying………. Did you see the recent viral video of a chimp named Vanilla seeing the SKY for the first time?  She was born in captivity and spent 28 years in an animal testing lab before a group called Save the Chimps took her in. Now there’s an update:  Save the Chimps said that in the first four days after the video blew up, they received around $50,000 in donations.  That’s compared to just $2,700 the week before.  (Here’s the video.)……………..And finally……… 

An Army vet in Texas named Shawn Warner just became a best-selling author, literally overnight.  He recently published his first novel, and was signing copies at a grocery store when a TikToker started talking to him. At that point, he’d just sold a handful of copies, and only had two Amazon reviews.  But the TikToker’s video blew up.  And by the next day, Shawn’s book was a #1 BEST SELLER on Amazon – it’s a mystery novel for young adults called “Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor” (Here’s the video.)
