Hawaii eats more SPAM than any other state.  So their parent company, Hormel Foods, is doing their part to help wildfire victims in Maui.  They work with a charity called Convoy of Hope and volunteers are there handing out supplies now…………………. A group of lifeguards in Flagler Beach, Florida used their rescue buoys to form a human chain and save a boogie boarder who got pulled out by a rip tide.  A guy who works at a tattoo shop nearby happened to be using his drone during a break, and got the whole thing on video.  (Here’s the footage.)…..And finally……………… 

A woman named Casey Fischer was in between classes when she stopped at Dunkin Donuts for coffee. She saw a homeless man picking up change outside, and when the man came inside, she struck up a conversation with him, and bought him coffee and a bagel. The man, Chris, told her about how people are usually mean to him because he’s homeless, how drugs turned him into the person he hated, and much more. Before Casey went back to class, Chris wrote a note on a crumpled receipt, handed it to her, and left. Written on the note: “I wanted to kill myself today, because of u I now do not. Thank u, beautiful person.”
