Planet Fitness had a promo this summer to get kids moving, where high schoolers could come work out for free. They just released their final numbers, and it was a big hit. Between May 15th and August 31st, over three million kids signed up…………………. A woman in New Hampshire was at a thrift store in 2017, and joked that a painting they had might be worth a lot of money. She said it looked like a painting by an artist from the early 1900s named N.C. Wyeth, and bought it for $4. Turned out it WAS by him . . . and could sell this month for $250,000………..And finally……………..
Lance Kawaguch, the CEO of a brain cancer charity in Australia, is gearing up for a big trip. He’s raising money for research by hiking 70 miles across the South Pole in Antarctica. The altitude there is 9,300 feet, and it can get down to 20 below zero. He’ll walk for about 10 hours every day while pulling a 90-pound sled full of essential supplies. He’s planning to start his hike on December 15th, and finish up on January 4th, so he’ll be at the South Pole for Christmas.
