A woman in Australia secured grant money to have A.E.D. machines installed at two ferry stops on a river near her home.  Those are the machines that can save your life if you have a heart attack. And her husband is glad she did it . . . because one of them recently saved HIS life.  He had a heart attack while they were waiting for a ferry, and he would have died without it.  He’d never had any heart issues before……………Heman Bekele, a freshman at a high school in Virginia, was crowned this year’s “Top Young Scientist” for inventing a new soap to help treat and prevent skin cancer.  The award comes with a $25,000 prize………..And finally………………. 

Last week a tip jar with about $20 was stolen out of an IN Dairy Queen drive through by the driver of a Jeep. The Evansville Area Jeep Club banded together to help out, and a bunch of Jeepers showed up over the weekend to support the DQ employees. Worker Abby Yates says their kindness helps restore her faith in her community. “We were blown away. We did not expect for it to blow up this big. We just wanted to find the person and get our tip jar back.” The club was able to raise a total of more than $500 for the employees at the end of the day to replace the stolen tip jar.
