Today’s Good News 1-23-24

During last week’s cold snap, a bunch of Jeep Wrangler club members in Alabama pitched in to help out healthcare workers.  A group called Rocket City Wranglers offered them free rides to and from work, so they wouldn’t have to deal with driving on roads that were dangerous……….. In Vermont on Saturday, the police, along with a search and rescue team, saved 23 lost skiers and snowboarders. In brutally cold weather, the team hiked, snowshoed, and skinned about 5 miles to reach the individuals and led them back to safety……………And finally………………..

A good Samaritan helped save some orphaned puppies in Fayetteville. Animal Protection found five pups at its doorstep after recent frigid weather, and there was a heartfelt note with them, reportedly written by a homeless man who had been feeding a stray dog. It read “Please help! I found these puppies, sadly, after noticing a local stray dog that I would often feed when I could, dead by the road. I’m sorry for leaving them like this, but I myself am homeless and cannot afford to care for them”. The pups are doing well, now that they have food and a warm place to sleep, and they’ll be ready for adoption soon.
